What is the basis for ketogenic diet formulations?

What we are asking, why we come to some conclusion about formulations, typically the ratios
of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats and how we derived this typical formulation, and how

There are different types of ketogenic diets, and some most researched versions are as follows

The standard ketogenic diet (SKD)

This has very low carbohydrate, somewhat moderate labels of protein, and high-fat content
to very pricelessly it contains

The cyclical ketogenic diet (CKD)

Its cyclic program, where ketogenic diet for 5-days, followed by 2-days extra added 
carbohydrates

The targeted ketogenic diet (TKD)

In this ketogenic diet is continued but some carbohydrate was given just before work-out

The high protein ketogenic diet

This just a modification of the first, SKD , formulation, it advocates more protein and 
less fat, and carbohydrates, a typical formulation is as follows

FAT.......      ..................  .60%
PROTEIN......    ..........  . .35%
CARBOHYDRATES..    ... 5 %

As so for research input on these diet formulations are concerned, the studies are more
done on first and last formulations, TKD, and CKD are very specific formulations only
used by athletes and bodybuilders with a lot of care and supervision
So, total diet define for 2000 kcal per day, carbohydrate only amounts to 20 to 50 gram
per day, and that's a very key factor., in standard American food carbohydrates are used
about 200 to 350 gram per day,(3)

What is most important?

Most important is to monitor the renal functions, the transition from standard to ketogenic
diet and also ketogenic diet to standard diet has to be done in a very gradual and well
controlled way., of course, this is only a viewpoint from ketogenic diet facts.
